Details
This clinic will be based on the International Horse Agility Club program. The ultimate aim of Horse Agility is to work the horse loose over obstacles just like in Dog Agility but just like Dog Agility you cannot just turn up on the day and think it’s going to work! The training of horses to do Horse Agility is almost identical to Dog Agility, dog trainers teach the dog to lead, then to go over obstacles on the lead while using body language and verbal commands and then one day they turn him loose in a safe place and using the same signals see if they can still direct the dog over the obstacles. Horse Agility is similar with various divisions ranging from walking in hand to Wild Ridden Agility.
This clinic will be an introduction to Horse Agility and the exciting monthly programs they offer. It is a way to challenge yourself and to compete from the comfort of your own facility. Participants will gain experience playing with various natural and man-made obstacles and learn the expectations of the International Horse Agility Club competitions.
Confidence and a positive learning environment is the main focus of this clinic for both the equine and human.
The participants will be divided into small group sessions to allow more one on one learning. Participants will be encouraged to audit the other sessions. Each participant will have a minimum of 2 hours of obstacle learning time, plus the auditing of the other sessions. For complete details of the clinic and pricing, please visit www.nesnaturally.ca
