Invitation to: Introduction to Competitive Distance Riding Mini Clinics/Info Sessions

The sessions will cover:

• Types of Rides: Understand what you have signed up for!
• How to prepare for a ride before you even leave home.
• What to expect once you have arrived at the ride site.
• Ready to mount up? What to expect/plan for once on the trail.
• How to present your horse to the vet/judge depending upon the ride type.
• How to check your horse’s pulse and respiration rate.
• Question and Answer session with experienced ACTRA members.

There are four options to attend – each one will cover the same topics so choose the location that works for you. All sessions will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm:

• March 23 at Isabella Stewart’s farm at 1168 Ward Road Aylesford, NS
• March 30 at Valhalla Stables, 5124 HWY 214, Upper Nine Mile River, NS
• April 5 at Ready to Ride Stables, 220 Campbell Road, West Bay, Cape Breton, NS
• April 12 at Waugh River Stables, 70 Gill Sutherland Road, HWY 311, Tatamagouche, NS

The cost is $10.00 per person for non ACTRA members and free for ACTRA Members. Prepayment is not required, but we ask that you register by sending your name, email and/or phone number to: ac*************@***il.com, or by text to: 902-430-7564, or by Messenger to Kim Crowell, and note which session you plan to attend (contact info will be used for session planning purposes only).

This is a non-horse event, but please bring your own camp chair. Coffee, tea and snacks will be provided.
